Her novel, Crying for the Moon, is the story of Maureen, raised on tough love, by an angry mother and a beaten-down father who tells the best stories—but only when he’s drunk. Maureen creates a new life for herself over the course of one night in Montreal. A riotous and heart-rending journey from St. John’s to Montreal and back, this debut novel explores the many ways in which one day can reverberate through a lifetime.
Host Peter Brown is the producer of CBC Radio's The Irrelevant Show. He has a background in comedy writing and performance and is a regular MC at prominent events in Edmonton.
